Wastewater and Industrial Treatment Renewal
To renew your GA Wastewater Operator License or your GA Industrial Treatment License, you must take the appropriate course work and apply for your renewal. To help, we've compiled information on each of the steps that you will need to take in order to renew your Wastewater or Industrial license.
To renew your Wastewater or Industrial Treatment License, please follow these two steps.
Take Appropriate Course Work
To renew your certification, you must earn a certain number of points. The number of points necessary is dependent on your certification type and level. Points are earned through approved coursework. Due to new rules set forth by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Laboratory Analysts, a certain percentage of points must be in approved areas of coursework.

Apply for your Renewal
Once the correct number of points have been obtained, renewal candidates must apply for their renewal through the Board of Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators & Laboratory Analysts http://sos.ga.gov/index.php/licensing/plb/54. The option to renew will be available several months before the renewal deadline.
